Abstract: |
The effects of prevulcanization temperature and time on the structure and properties of EPDM foam were investigated. The results showed that, the vulcanization rate and foaming rate of EPDM foam matched well at the prevulcanization temperature of 110 ℃.With the increase of prevulcanization temperature, the cell size of EPDM foam increased but the cell number decreased. With the increase of prevulcanization time at the prevulcanization temperature of 110 ℃,the cell size of EPDM foam decreased but the cell number increased, and the Shore C hardness and the tensile strength of EPDM foam increased, but the static stiffness and spring rate ratio decreased. |
