Abstract: |
The surface of pre-vulcanized natural rubber latex(NRL) film of catheter was modified by argon plasma pretreatment and subsequent UV-inducing graft copolymerization with N-vinylpyrrolidone(NVP).Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope(SEM),water contact angle and platelet adhesion tests were carried out to investigate the effects of surface graft copolymerization of NVP on the morphology, hydrophilic and anti-coagulant properties of NRL film. The results showed that, the Ar-plasma pretreatment time of 2 min and UV irradiation time of 10 min were the proper condition for NVP graft copolymerization onto NRL film;the water contact angle of NRL film reduced from 102.5° to 58.6° and the numbers of adhered platelets decreased obviously after graft copolymerization of NVP,indicating the great improvement of hydrophilic and anti-coagulant characteristics of NRL film. |
