| The optimal design of Moddock barrier mixing element on extruder screw was investigated.Based on the basic equation of viscous fluid flow，a simplified mathematical model of the optimal design of Moddock barrier mixing element on extruder screw was established aiming at consuming the minimal energy per unit output.This model was solved by means of complex method.Finally，the suggested shear length，shear clearance，barrier length and number of barrier channel were determined.The optimized results in this study were in accordance with the optimal values recommended in the published reports. |
