| The non-thermal efficiency of the microwave during the devulcanization was investigated with a NR-based tread vulcanizate.The results showed that the equilibrium swelling index of the vulcanizate treated with microwave for a short period was significantly greater than that of untreated vulcanizate；the breakdown of the cross-linking network in vulcanizate at lower temperature resulted mainly from the non-thermal efficiency of microwave；the cross-linkage breakdown of vulcanizate resulted from the microwave was much severe than that from the conventional heating；the fraction of the low molecular extractive in microwave-treated vulcanizate was smaller than that in untreated vulcanizate and changed little with the time；and the higher productivity，the lower devulcanization temperature and environment pollution，and the reclaim with better physical properties were obtained when the microwave devulcanization was used to prepare the reclaim. |
