Abstract:
      The non-thermal efficiency of the microwave during the devulcanization was investigated with a NR-based tread vulcanizate.The results showed that the equilibrium swelling index of the vulcanizate treated with microwave for a short period was significantly greater than that of untreated vulcanizate;the breakdown of the cross-linking network in vulcanizate at lower temperature resulted mainly from the non-thermal efficiency of microwave;the cross-linkage breakdown of vulcanizate resulted from the microwave was much severe than that from the conventional heating;the fraction of the low molecular extractive in microwave-treated vulcanizate was smaller than that in untreated vulcanizate and changed little with the time;and the higher productivity,the lower devulcanization temperature and environment pollution,and the reclaim with better physical properties were obtained when the microwave devulcanization was used to prepare the reclaim.
