Abstract: |
The modified organic montmorillonite (OMMT)/NBR nano-composites were prepared by melt intercalation and the microstructure and properties of nano-composites were investigated.The results showed that the molecular chain of NBR was intercalated into the OMMT layers in the OMMT/NBR nano-composites prepared by melt intercalation,and OMMT was dispersed in NBR matrix on nano-scale;the physical properties of OMMT/NBR nano-composites improved significantly and the storage modulus was higher under the same shearing deformation when compared to those of NBR vulcanizate without OMMT;and the physical properties of OMMT/NBR composites improved as the addition level of OMMT increased. |
