Abstract: |
The fibrillar silicates(FSs) were modified by several silane coupling agents respectively, the physical properties of these FSs/SBR composites with peroxide curing system were investigated and the mechanism of SBR reinforced by different modified FSs was discussed in detail. The results showed that the better physical properties of FS/SBR composite was obtained when FS was modified with silane coupling agent KH-570;and the alkoxyls on the end of silane coupling agent could react with the hydroxyls on the surface of FS to form Si—O—Si bond, meanwhile the organic functional group of silane coupling agent could entangle or react with the macromolecules of SBR to improve the interface bonding between FS and SBR and the dispersity of FS in SBR matrix. |
