Abstract: |
The flow behaviour of PP/EPDM/glass bead (GB) composite during extrusion at 463 K was investigated with a constant rate capillary rheometer. The results showed that the shear stress of the composite fluid on the running channel wall τw and the apparent shear rate γa obeyed the power law (with turn point at γa=700 s-1);the shear viscosity ηw decreased as the shear rate γw increased;the dependence of ηw on temperature obeyed the Arrhenius equation;the surface modification of GB and the graft modification with EPDM had little effect on ηw;and with a constant γw,ηw increased as the volumefraction Φg of GB increased,at the same time ηw of PP/EPDM/GB modified with silane couplingagent was higher and more sensitive to Φg. |
