Abstract: |
The correlation between tire hydroplaning and wet skid resistance performance and its influencing factors were studied,The three experimental schemes were designed:Comparing the changes in braking performance between new standard tires and standard worn tires at different vehicle speed ranges on roads with water film thicknesses of 1 and 8 mm,comparing tire the hydroplaning performance with different tread hardnesses at 10~30 ℃,as well as analyzing variation of tire slip rate with test vehicle speed in the traction control system(TCS) on/off state. The results showed that, when the test vehicle speed was greater than the tire hydroplaning vehicle speed, the tire wet skid resistance performance was poor and was severely affected by water-drift.When the test vehicle speed was lower than the tire hydroplaning vehicle speed, the tire wet skid resistance performance was better. As the hardness of the tread increased, the tire hydroplaning vehicle speed increased approximaly linearly. When TCS of the vehicle was turned on,the tire slip rate could be controlled within a lower numerical range, without complete water drift. |
