Abstract:
      The processabilities,physical properties and product appearances of single and blend 26-type Fluororubber(FKM) compounds with different FKM Mooney viscosities were investigated.The results showed that the extrusion processability of FKM compound decreased with the Mooney viscosity increasd.The FKM compound with FKM Mooney viscosity [ML(1+10)121 ℃] (hereinafter referred to as Mooney viscosity) of 60 exhibited high Mooney viscosity and high mixing energy consumption.Compared with the FKM compound with FKM Mooney viscosity of 40,the FKM compound with FKM Mooney viscosities of 60 and 20 at a blend ratio of 1/1 showed better flowability.The tensile properties of FKM compound improved with increasing Mooney viscosity,while the heat aging resistance showed no significant change.As the blend ratio of FKM with high Mooney viscosity increased,the physical properties of the compound generally improved.When the Mooney viscosity of the compound reached 50 or above,the defects such as air trapping and mold sticking during processing were eliminated.However,a further increase in Mooney viscosity resulted in poorer flowability,the compound was unsuitable for producing thin gasket products.
