| Abstract: |
| The performance test and finite element model secondary development of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber(EPDM) plate bearing were studied.Five groups of EPDM specimens were subjected to uniaxial tensile tests(three cycles of loading were first carried out to eliminate the stress softening effect),the measured tensile stress-strain curves all exhibited typical hyperelastic characteristics and good consistency.A parametric modeling program was developed based on Abaqus,Python language was used to automate geometric modeling, material property definition and mesh generation. The tensile stress-strain test curves of EPDM compound specimens were in good agreement with the simulated curves, the established constitutive model of the material could accurately characterize the nonlinear mechanical behavior of EPDM compounds, and the established finite element model of EPDM plate bearing and its parameter setting were accurate. This study provided reliable experience of parametric modeling for the simulation research on the mechanical properties of rubber bearings. |
