Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber(EPDM) had become the main material for automotive sealing strips due to its excellent aging resistance.This paper reviewed the research progress of EPDM automotive sealing strips with low odor and low volatile organic compounds(VOC),overviewed the optimization of the compound formulas,processing techniques and post-treatments that could achieve this purpose,briefly introduced the current testing methods for odor and VOC of EPDM sealing strips,and pointed out the future research directions of EPDM sealing strips. |
