| Abstract: |
| The influence of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber(EPDM) automotive sealing strip formula factors on the foaming effect of expandable microspheres DU178 was studied. The results showed that in the EPDM automotive sealing strip formulation, the silica amount and the paraffin oil amount had the greater and comparable impact on the foaming effect of expandable microspheres DU178 ,followed by the carbon black N550 amount, with the EPDM grade having the least impact. The influence of the EPDM grade on the foaming effect of expandable microspheres DU178 in EPDM compound was not significant, and the deviation of the density change rate of different grade EPDM compound was ±2%.When the silica amount was 10 phr and the paraffin oil amount was 20 phr,the foaming effect of expandable microspheres DU178 was the best. The larger the carbon black N550 amount was,the poorer the foaming effect of DU178 expandable microspheres was. |
