| Abstract: |
| The effect of working conditions on the friction coefficients of bromo isobutylene isoprene rubber (BIIR) vulcanizate was studied. The results showed that the static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient of BIIR vulcanizate were the largest among the tested eight types of vulcanizates. With the increase of running speed and friction time, static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient of BIIR vulcanizate increased. When the friction surface was R0 smooth steel plate, static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient of BIIR vulcanizate were the largest. In the dry friction (without friction medium)state, static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient of BIIR vulcanizate were the largest, and when the friction media were olive oil, peanut oil and detergent, static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient of BIIR vulcanizates were smaller. |
