Abstract:
The effect of reinforcing agents on the vulcanization characteristics, mechanical properties and supercritical CO2(SC-CO2) corrosion resistance of the hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) compounds reinforced with zinc monomethacrylate(HZMMA),spraying carbon black and their blends with carbon nanotubes(CNTs) was studied. The results showed that the HNBR compounds reinforced with HZMMA/CNTs blend displayed an accelerated vulcanization rate,an elevated crosslinking degree and remarkably enhanced mechanical properties.Compared with the HNBR compound reinforced with spraying carbon black, the HNBR compound reinforced with HZMMA exhibited a mechanical property retention rate of approximately 90% after 144 h of SC-CO2 corrosion, and the SC-CO2 corrosion resistance of the HNBR compounds reinforced with HZMMA/CNTs blend was further improved.
