Abstract:
      The influence of the modulus of the belt layer compound on the properties of the off-the-road(OTR) radial tire was studied by finite element simulation analysis.The results showed that the formation of the belt layer after tire inflation was mainly characterized by angle deflection of steel cords and change in the spacing between steel wire cords.The larger the modulus of the belt layer compound was,the higher the efficiency of the interaction force transmission between the belt layers was,the greater the overall stiffness of the belt layer was,the bigger the radial stiffness of the tire was,decreased the concentration and maximum value of shoulder strain energy density,and the durability of the finished tire had been significantly improved.It was feasible to improve the durability of the tire by adjusting the modulus of the belt layer compound.
