Abstract: |
Europe is an important region for the export of Chinese tire products. The introduction of general safety regulations will significantly increase the technical barriers for product access, increase tire research and development costs, and make sales more difficult, which will seriously affect the export of Chinese tire products. Based on the revised direction of the European Union""s EU2019/2144 regulations and UN R117.03 regulations, this article conducts a deep interpretation of the grinding procedure based on the UN R117.03 revision and conducts a thorough test of the wet grip performance of eight different brands and models of independent brand tires. This test program refers to the wet grip test program of the new tire (Appendix 5) and the worn tire (Appendix 9) in the ECE R117 02 Rev4 regulations. The test research on the vehicle method and trailer method was carried out separately. The results show that: 1. The performance of the selected test tires in the worn state can basically meet the limit requirements of the UN R117.03 revision; 2. There is no significant correlation between the wet grip performance of tires in the new tire state and the worn state; 3. There is no significant correlation between the test results of the same sample tire using the vehicle method and the trailer method. |
