Abstract: |
The application of low-temperature performance improver LTS(referred to as LTS) in the
tread compound of steel-belted radial tires was studied and compared with liquid butadiene rubber(LBR).
The results showed that the vulcanization characteristics,physical properties,dynamic mechanical properties
and low-temperature flex resistance of the compound using LTS were comparable to those of the compound
using LBR,and the braking performance of the tire on ice and snow road was similar. Using LTS instead of
LBR could reduce raw material cost while maintaining the performance of the tread compound |
