Abstract:
      Compared with homogenization process of GB/T 15340—2008,the influence of homogenization process parameters on the physicochemical properties of natural rubber(NR) was investigated by examing the roller temperature,roller distance and number of passes through the rollers in open mill,and the applicability of the optimal homogenization scheme was verified.The results showed that,during the homogenization process,the roller temperature had no dependence on the room temperature,and the room temperature did not need to be strictly controlled.The physicochemical properties of NR were not sensitive to the roller distance,but were more sensitive to the number of passes through the rollers.The Mooney viscosity of NR after 6 passes of rolling was close to that of NR without homogenization.The optimized homogenization scheme for NR was roller spacing (1.7±0.17) mm,roller temperature (25±5) ℃,and 6 passes of rolling.There was no significant difference in the volatile matter content,plasticity retention,and vulcanization characteristics of NR homogenized using the optimized homogenization scheme and the GB/T 15340—2008 scheme.The Mooney viscosity of NR homogenized by the optimized homogenization scheme was significantly improved.The optimized homogenization scheme was applicable in domestic laboratories,and the processed NR had good uniformity and repeatability.
