Abstract:
      As nitrile rubber O-shaped sealing ring(referred to as rubber O-shaped ring) as example,a new method of accelerated aging for predicting the life of the rubber sealing ring was proposed.Using the compression stress relaxation performance retention rate as the index for predicting the storage life,the compression stress relaxation tests of the rubber O-shaped ring were conducted at 80,100,110 and 120 ℃,respectively.First,the compression stress relaxation retention rates of the rubber O-shaped ring stored for 3,5,10,15 and 20 years were calculated,and then the acceleration aging time required for the rubber O-shaped ring stored for 3,5,10,15 and 20 years at 80 and 100 ℃ were calculated.
