Abstract: |
The development of efficient catalytic hydrogenation system represents a major strategy for achieving the low-cost production of hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber(HNBR).The hydrogenation of nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR) was carried out with a ruthenium catalyst in the CO2 expanded liquid(CXL) medium. The effects of solvent,CO2 expanded temperature,CO2 expanded pressure,H2 partial pressure and catalyst amount on hydrogenation reaction were investigated. The results showed that, compared with in unexpanded acetone solution,in CO2 expanded acetone solution, the hydrogenation rate of NBR was significantly increased,at relatively low hydrogen partial pressure(5.52 MPa),a small amount of ruthenium catalyst(mass fraction of 0.02%) could achieve high hydrogenation of NBR (hydrogenation degree of 88%).Additionally,the established method showed high chem-selectivity of NBR hydrogenation, which has been confirmed by infrared spectrum and NBR gel content analysis. |
