Abstract:
      The U-shaped outer windshield compounds for CRH2 and CRH3 EMUs with excellent low temperature resistance were obtained by using ethylene-propylene-diene rubber(EPDM) as the main rubber and adding paraffin oil and EPDM blending with polyolefin elastomer(POE) and butadiene rubber(BR),as well as the performance of U-shaped outer windshield coating was tested.The results showed that adding paraffin oil could improve the low temperature resistance of the outer windshield compound,but it would affect the adhesion between the paint film and the base compound of the U-shaped outer windshield,so paraffin oil dosage should not exceed 10 phr. EPDM/BR/POE blending could obtain the outer windshield compounds with excellent low temperature resistance(resistance to -55 ℃ low temperature),flexure resistance and physical properties,making the U-shaped outer windshield suitable for use in a colder environment.
