Abstract: |
Based on Fluent software, numerical simulation research on tire compound mixing was conducted by injecting 5 000 massless particles(referred to as particles)to the middle position of the mixing chanber. The results showed that in terms of dispersive mixing characteristics of the compound, the mixing index proportion of particles was the largest when the filling coefficient was 0.75,and the maximum shear stress cumulative distribution was the best when the filing coefficient was 0.65.In terms of distributed mixing characteristics of the compound, mean length of stretch (LOS) of particles was the largest and cluster distribution index(CDI) was the smallest when the filling coefficient was 0.75.Overall,when the filling coefficient was 0.75,the dispersive and distributed mixing characteristics of the compound were optimal. |
