Abstract:
      Taking light calcium carbonate as a carrier,the core-shell structural zinc oxide with zinc oxide content (mass fraction) of 30%,40%,50% and 60% was prepared.The core-shell structural zinc oxide was compared with the indirect zinc oxide and active zinc oxide NC105 to study the influence of core-shell structural zinc oxide on the properties of NR compounds and it application in tread compound of steel-belted radial tire.The results showed that the Shore A hardness,tensile strength,elongation at break and tear strength of NR vulcanizates and tread compound of steel-belted radial tire with the core-shell structural zinc oxide with 50% zinc oxide content and the indirect zinc oxide were comparable.The loss factor at 60 ℃ of tread compound with the core-shell structural zinc oxide and active zinc oxide NC105 was not significantly different.The compounds with the core-shell structural zinc oxide maintained or enhanced its performance while reducing the zinc oxide content,achieving the goal of zinc reduction and quality improvement.
