Abstract:
The properties of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber(EPDM)/ethylene-propylene rubber(EPM) blends with different blending ratios were investigated. The results showed that, with the increasing of EPM dosage, the crosslinking density, the tensile stress at 100% elongation and tensile strength of EPDM/EPM blend decreased, the elongation at break increased, the heat oxygen aging resistance was improved, while the hardness increased in the low temperature range and decreased in the high temperature range. As the temperature increased, the tensile stresses at 100% elongation of EPDM/EPM blends with different blending ratios first decreased and then increased, while the tensile strengths and elongations at break decreased. As the increasing of EPDM dosage, the crystallization and melting peaks of the differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) curve of EPDM/EPM blend shifted towards the low-temperature zone and became wider, and peak areas decreased.
