Abstract: |
The components of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber(EPDM) compound were separated and it formulation was analyzed. EPDM compound was dissolved in n-hexane to separate its organic and inorganic components. The organic components were precipitated in methanol and extracted with dichloromethane to separate EPDM from paraffin oil. The inorganic components were dissolved in hydrochloric acid to separate carbonate and zinc oxide from silica. The nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance diffusion ordered spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction spectrum and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze each component, and a set of analysis method for the components of EPDM compound was established, which was helpful for quality monitoring in the production process of EPDM compound and its formulation improvement. |
