Abstract: |
Butyl rubber(IIR)had more methyl groups on its molecular chain, which gave it excellent damping performance. However, its molecular chain had a low proportion of double bonds and no polar groups, resulting in long vulcanization time, poor compatibility with fillers, and poor adhesion with other materials such as metals, which limited its further application. This article reviewed the research on modifying IIR or fillers using methods such as inorganic fillers,resin/rubber,organic small molecule hybridization, copolymer co mixing, and chemical modification to improve the damping performance of IIR damping materials and broaden the damping temperature range. |
