Abstract: |
The effect of aramid short fiber lengths on the properties of natural rubber(NR)/solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber(SSBR) blends was studied. The results showed that with the increase of aramid short fiber length, the crosslinking density and storage modulus of NR/SSBR blend increased, the filler network degree was enlarged, and the filler dispersion was worsed. When aramid short fiber with 1 mm of length was added, the tensile strength was larger, wear resistance was poor. When aramid short fiber with 3 mm of length was added, the Shore A hardness, tensile stress at 100% elongation and tear strength of NR/SSBR blend were larger, and the DIN abrasion was smaller. |
