Abstract: |
An epoxidized solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber(ESSBR) with epoxy degree of 15% was prepared and used as a macromolecular coupling agent to modify silica/butadiene rubber(BR) composites.The properties of the silica/ESSBR/BR composites were studied,and compared with the coupling agent Si69/silica/solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber(SSBR)/BR composites.The results showed that the silica dispersion,tensile properties,wet skid resistance and wear resistance of the silica/ESSBR/BR composites were improved,the rolling resistance was reduced,and there was no emission of the volatile organic compounds.These composites could be used in tire tread compounds. |
