Abstract: |
Solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) was prepared by anionic
polymerization with n-butyl lithium as initiator and cyclohexane as solvent and using ether structural
regulator, and then the SSBR was end-capped by 1,4-bis(2,3-epoxypropoxy)butane. The optimal synthesis
conditions and modification conditions of SSBR were investigated. The results showed that when the mass
ratio of styrene/butadiene monomer was 25/75,the mass fraction of monomer was 9.3%,the amount of
tetrahydrofuran in each kilogram of solvent was 300 mg,the amount of ether structural modifier was 135 mg,
and the reaction temperature was 60~65 ℃,SSBR with 1,2-butadiene mass fraction of 62%~67% in the
molecule suitable for tire tread was prepared. When the mole ratio of 1,4-bis(2,3-epoxypropoxy)butane/
n-butyl lithium was 0.5/1 ~ 0.7/1 and the modification temperature was 56.0 ~ 65.0 ℃,the modification
effect of SSBR was better. The properties of 1,4-bis(2,3-epoxypropoxy)butane terminal group modified
SSBR compound reached the level of similar foreign SSBR compound. Compared with the unmodified SSBR
compound, its wet skid resistance was improved and rolling resistance was reduced. |
