Abstract:
      The development of hemispherical elastic bearing for steel catenary riser flexible joints was of great significance to the localization of steel catenary riser flexible joints in China,and one study in an oil and gas field platform in China Sea was introduced in this paper. This study focused on several important aspects of the bearing:the compound formula design of rubber layer,material selection and forming scheme of the reinforcement plate,production process,mold design and vulcanization forming process. The results showed that the hemispherical elastic bearing made of hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR) layer and reinforcement steel plate had moderate rigidity,stable structure,excellent corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance.
