Abstract: |
The effects of different pre-dispersion melt mixing processes on the properties of IIR/SWCNTs conductive composites were investigated. The results showed that the IIR/SWCNTs conductive composites with excellent electrical conductivity could be prepared by ultrasonic treatment of pre-dispersing SWCNTs in solvent or dispersant solution and then wet melt mixing with IIR,etc. The dispersibility of SWCNTs in IIR matrix and the conductivity of the composites were superior to those prepared by traditional melt mixing process.SWCNTs displayed the best dispersion in IIR matrix and the conductivity of the composites was the highest when OP-10 aqueous solution was used for ultrasonic pre-dispersion treatment. The dispersion of SWCNTs and the conductivity of the composites were moderate when n-hexane was used as ultrasonic pre-dispersion solvent. The dispersion of SWCNTs was poor when ethanol was used for ultrasonic pre-dispersion treatment, but the conductivity of the composite was still better than that of the composite prepared by traditional melt mixing process. |
