| Several high performance specialty elastomers with special properties which have been applied in the field of non-tire rubber products used under harsh environments in recent years are reviewed. Part 1 of this review covers novel ethylene-propylene-diene rubber（EPDM）—5-vinyl-2-norbornene type EPDM（VNB-EPDM），ultra high molecular weight EPDM，ultra low Mooney viscosity EPDM，bio-based EPDM and “EPDM alloys”，as well as propylene-based elastomer（PBE）and ethylene-butadiene-ENB terpolymer
（EBT）.The varieties，brands and characteristics of these elastomers are introduced. The formulas of the compounds used in automobile parts，hoses，belts and seals are listed，and the properties of the compounds are analyzed. |
