Abstract:
In order to study the influence of the structural parameters of the engine crankshaft oil seal on the sealing performance of the oil seal, the crankshaft oil seal with the specification of Φ80× Φ100×8.5 was taken as research object.Based on the principle of orthogonal experimental design, combined with finite element analysis method, the order of the influence of the structural parameters which were oil level lip angle(α),gas level lip angle(β),installation interference(δ),axial distance from spring center to lip(r),oil seal waist thickness(s) and spring stiffness coefficient(k) on average contact pressure(Pav) and radial force per unit circumference(Fr) of the lip were studied. The optimization objectives were maximum Pav and minimum Fr,and the optimal combination of structural parameters was obtained. The results showed that the order of the influence of the structural parameters on Pav and Fr were βδksαr and kδrsβα,respectively.Compared with the crankshaft oil seal before optimization,Pav of the crankshaft oil seal after optimization increased by 2.61%,Fr decreased by 28.74%,and service life was prolonged evidently.
