Abstract: |
The addition-cure type liquid silicone rubber was prepared by using vinyl polydimethylsiloxane as basic polymer,hydride functional polydimethylsiloxane as crosslinking agent and isopropanol coordinated chloroplatinic acid as catalyst. The effects of the molar ratio (A)of Si—H in hydride functional polydimethylsiloxane to Si—Vi (vinyl group) in vinyl polydimethylsiloxane and the active hydrogen content in hydride functional polydimethylsiloxane(ω) on the mechanical properties of silicone rubber were studied. The influence of the type and amount of plasticizer on the mechanical properties and solvent resistance of silicone rubber was also investigated,and two plasticizers were studied: external plasticizer dimethyl polydimethylsiloxane and internal plasticizer octadecyl methacrylate. The results showed that,the compression modulus of silicone rubber increased first and then decreased with the increase of A,and it increased with the increase of ω.When A=1.50,and ω=0.010 0,the compression modulus was high. The compression modulus of silicone rubber decreased with the increase of the mass fraction of plasticizer. At the same mass fraction,the plasticizing effect of internal plasticizer was better than that of external plasticizer,and the solvent resistance of the silicone rubber with internal plasticizer was better than that with external plasticizer. When A = 1. 05,ω = 0. 003 6,and the mass fraction of internal plasticizer was 0. 40,silicone rubber possessed high flexibility and good solvent resistance. |
