Abstract: |
The extrusion process of ethylene propylene diene rubber(EPDM) sealing gasket compound with resin curing system for plate heat exchanger was studied. For the problems of unstable cutting weight,rough surface,easy scorch,large shrinkage rate of the extrusion rubber strip,air holes,deformation of the cured sealing gasket,and low production efficiency,the extrusion process was modified,for example,by using ultra long nozzle and nozzle-heater,extruding with low temperature and low speed,changing watercooling mode into air-cooling mode,and increasing the number of holes in the nozzle.With the modified process,the quality of the extruded rubber strip and sealing gasket were improved,and the extrusion efficiency increased. |
