Abstract:
The properties of 3D printing glass fiber/thermoplastic polyurethane blended material were investigated based on a powder feed 3D printer. The results showed that, with the increase of glass fiber mass fraction, the tensile strength of blended material increased first and then decreased. When the glass fiber mass fraction was 0.08,the tensile strength of blended material was the largest, which was 51.2 MPa and raised 41% than that of thermoplastic polyurethane. The bending strength and compressive strength were firstly decreased, then increased and then decreased. When the glass fiber mass fraction was 0.15,the compressive strength of blended material was the largest, which was 108.35 MPa.The impact strength increased first and then decreased. When the glass fiber mass fraction was 0.08,the impact strength of blended material was the highest, which was 15.52 kJ·m-2 and raised 39% than that of thermoplastic polyurethane.
