Abstract: |
The development of low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant ethylene-propylene-diene rubber(EPDM) insulating compound was introduced. The optimized formulation was as follows:EPDM 100,composite flame retardant PF 15,aluminum hydroxide ATH 104E 90,magnesium hydroxide MH3005Z 30,MMT 5,zinc oxide 5,stearic acid 1,paraffin oil 10,antioxidant RD 1.5,coupling agent A172 1.5,curing agent DCP 3,accelerator 1.5,and others 5. The flame retardancy,electrical insulation property and physical property of the cable insulation core with the optimized formulation met all the requirements. |
