Abstract:
When conventional nickel-based butadiene rubber BR9000 and four kinds of ruthenium butadiene rubber are mixed with SSBR at a low combined use ratio (25phr), there is no significant different performance of SiO2/SSBR/BR vulcanizates. And some properties of BR9000 are even better than ruthenium butadiene rubbers. Ruthenium butadiene rubber CB24 shows a good overall performance in terms of physical and mechanical properties. Ruthenium butadiene rubber Nd24EZ with long chain branching structure has the highest right-angled tear strength and the lowest crack growth rate. Ruthenium butadiene rubber Nd22EZ with long chain branching structure and high Mooney viscosity has the best rolling resistance and wet skid resistance. Although CB24 behaves well in wet skid resistance performance, its rolling resistance performance is the worst among the five butadiene rubbers. Nd22EZ and Nd24EZ have the strongest interaction with silica, in which silica disperses well, and also show weaker Payne effect. CB24 and SKD-NDII have weaker interaction with silica, and show stronger Payne effect.
