Abstract: |
The formulations of tread,shoulder pad and sidewall compounds of truck and bus radial tire with low rolling resistance were developed by adjusting formula components. The results showed that,compared with reference formula,the abrasion resistance of the experimental formula tread compound was improved and the heat build-up decreased,the elasticity of shoulder pad compound was improved and the heat build-up decreased,the tensile strength and elongation at break of sidewall compound decreased and the flex cracking resistance increased,and other properties changed little. Compared with the reference tire,the rolling resistance coefficient of the test tire decreased by 9. 3%,reached SmartWay certification requirements from the US Environmental Protection Agency,the durability was better,and the wear resistance in the actual road test was slightly better. |
