Abstract: |
The influence of thermal parameters including the density, specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity of rubber composite, and curing kinetics parameters such as activation energy and frequency factor on the cure characteristics of tire shoulder of 11. 00R25 radial tire was studied by section through orthogonal experiment and numerical simulation techniques. The results showed that, the thermal parameters near steel mould should be firstly considered, followed by specific heat capacity near bladder when the
thermal parameters were adjusted, and increasing thermal conductivity and lowering specific heat capacity of tread was effective ways to shorten the engineering optimum cure time(t70). The distribution of the most difficult vulcanization parts in tire shoulder, curing uniformity and t70 were directly determined by curing kinetics parameters, the curing characteristics could be optimized by changing the frequency factor, and t70 could be effectively shortened by lowering the activation energy. |
