Abstract: |
Copolymerization of butadiene and isoprene in hexane by solution polymerization was studied with Nd(vers)3-Al(i-Bu)3-Al(i-Bu)2Cl catalytic system. The effects of catalyst preparation conditions such as aging method, aging time, aging temperature, monomer amount and catalyst ratio on the copolymerization of butadiene and isoprene were investigated. The results showed that,butadiene-isoprene random copolymer with high cis-content could be synthesized by Nd/Al/Cl catalytic system, and the catalyst preparation conditions had little effect on the microstructure of butadiene-isoprene copolymers. The mole ratios of cis-1 ,4-structure in polybutadiene and polyisoprene chains were all above 0.96.The addition of a small amount of monomer isoprene in the preparation of catalyst could improve the polymerization activity of the catalyst. The butadiene-isoprene copolymers had high number-average molecular weight(38.8×104~42.1×104). When the mole ratio of Al/Nd was 15 and the molar ratio of Cl/Nd was 1.5,the yield of butadiene-isoprene copolymer was large, and the molecular weight distribution was the narrowest. |
