Abstract:
In this paper, we studied the effects of the ratio of carbon black N330 and carbon black N990 on aging properties of fluoroelastomers cured with peroxide curing system in the air and we compared it with fluoroelastomers cured with bisphenol fluorine curing system. The results showed that the physical and mechanical properties and aging properties of fluoroelastomers cured with peroxide curing system increased with the increase in the ratio of carbon black N330 and carbon black N990 in the proper range, also compression deformation decreased obviously. fluoroelastomers cured with peroxide curing system exhibited higher tensile strength and elongation at break than fluoroelastomers cured with bisphenol fluorine curing system, however its hardness and modulus at 100% were lower. Meanwhile, fluoroelastomers cured with peroxide curing system showed more excellent aging properties.
