Abstract: |
The microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was hybrid modified with SiO2 nanoparticles, which was in-situ loaded on its surface through microreactor technique using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as precursor. The results of IR, TG and SEM showed that nano-SiO2 with different structure were successfully loaded on the surface of MCC. When the MCC-SiO2 hybrids were used in rubber compounds, its reinforcement improved, furthermore, the tanδ value improved at 0℃ and decreased at 60℃. From SEM photos, it was observed that the size of MCC was in-situ decreased during the processes of rubber compounds and the interface adhesion between MCC and rubber was also improved. |
