Abstract: |
In this study we studied the effect of talc on the flame retardant of EPDM. The result showed that with the increase of the talc amount the heat stability, flame retardant and mechanical properties of EPDM increased. Then we added different flame retardant additives to improve the flame retardant properties. The limited oxygen index, heat release rate decreased with the addition of decabromo diphenyl ethane,However, the smoke release rate increased obviously. The limited oxygen index, heat release rate and smoke release rate were improved slightly by adding Ammonium Polyphosphate and Zinc Borate. |
