Abstract: |
The influence of molecular weight and endfunctionalization on the properties of carbon black/starshaped SSBR composites was investigated. The results showed that, as the molecular weight of SSBR increased, the Mooney viscosity of SSBR raw rubber and mix increased, the tensile strength and elongation at break increased at first and then decreased, the tear strength and abrasion resistance were improved, the compression temperature rise and compression set were reduced. The starshaped SSBR with chain-end modification by tertbutylchlorodiphenylsilane achieved balance among physical properties, abrasion resistance and dynamic properties, and was suitable for high performance green tire tread application. |
