Abstract: |
ln this study, the polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) was synthesized by transesterification. Then the dipped tire cord fabric was prepared through spinning, twisting,knitting and dipping,and its property was investigated. The results showed that, PEN industrial filament fiber possessed high strength, high modulus and low shrinkage. The modulus was twice as that of PET, and the shrinkage ratio was only half of that of PET. PEN had good thermal stability, dimensional stability and chemical stability. The glass transition temperature of PEN was around 115一120 ℃ , which was 45~50℃ higher than that of PET. |
