Abstract: |
silica encapsulated sulfur microcapsule was prepared by means of hydrolysis of alkyl silicates and subsequent condensation of silicic acid in alkaline solutions with TEOS as silica source, the influence of core/shell ratio, alcohol/water ratio and catalyst concentration were investigated. Uniform sulfur microcapsule could be obtained in the condition of alcohol/water: 85/15~80/20, ammonia dosage: 2.5~3ml with adequate TEOS. The coating mechanism was also demonstrated. |
