Abstract: |
The structure and properties of modified pyrolysis carbon black (MCBp) were conducted a series of characterizations in this paper, and MCBp was applied in the styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). The pyrolysis carbon black was disposed by the concentrated HNO3 and HF, then was called modified pyrolysis carbon black, and the ash content of was 0.27%, through the test, the result show that the DBP value and volatile content of MCBp were increased, and the BET specific surface area values have fallen, by particle size analysis, the size of the secondary structure of MCBp was become wider and larger, by FTIR analysis show that the –OH group on the surface of MCBp was disappear, and the polar group increase unobvious , such as –COOH. Applied in SBR,The results show that, the mooney viscosity of mixing rubber increased slightly, the mooney relaxation modulus of elasticity increases, the processing performance decreased slightly when the MCBp filled in SBR. In the vulcanization characteristics, the scorch time extend, curing rate is reduced, the tensile strength increased by 10%, stretching stress increased by 20% to 30%, the hardness, rebound slightly raised, wear-resisting performance enhancements, compression heat decrease. |
