Abstract:
The carbon black(CBp) from scrap tire pyrolysis was treated by acetone, toluene and nitric acid, then those three kinds of CBps were filled in SBR and the reinforcements of CBps to SBR were studied. The results showed that, after treatment by acetone or toluene, the agglomerate of CBp became loose, the profile of the primary particle became clear, the volume of micropores and mesoporous increased;after nitric acid treatment and toluene extraction, the specific surface area of CBp was highly improved. The tensile strength, modulus at 300%,tear strength and wear resistance of SBR improved after filled by acetone or toluene treated CBp.The wet skid resistances of vulcanizates filled by CBp treated with acetone and nitric acid respectively were much the same as the vulcanizate filled by carbon black N660,while the rolling resistances were much lower.
