Abstract:
PTMG and HMMT were mixed to get organic-inorganic hybrid polymer polyol, and the clay composed prepolymer was prepared by reaction of the hybrid polymer polyol with TDI. Then, the Polyuretahne rubber/layered silicate nanocomposites were prepared by the reaction of the resultant prepolymer with extender. The properties and structure of PUU/layered silicate nanocomposites were respectively characterized by strain-stress machine, XRD,TEM,DSC,TGA. The results showed that when the PMMT content was about 2wt%, laminated silicate particles were uniformly dispersed in polyurethane rubber matrix, and the exfoliation and intercalated composite structure were got. And the tensile strength and elongation at break of PUU composite increased 21% and 12% respectively. Moreover, the glass-transition temperature (Tg) of PUU composites increased by 5.8℃, the first weight loss temperature and high decomposition temperature were higher than that of pure PUU 17.33 ℃ and 13.94 ℃. Due to the existence of inorganic nano laminated silicate particles, the tensile strength, toughness and thermal stability of PU rubber were improved.
